How do I use the coaching?
Update The Surfr. App on your iPhone via the App Store to the latest version. Open the Surfr. App on your watch and follow the steps:
- Swipe left to navigate from the Start button to the Settings.
- Activate on-board coaching in Advanced Settings.
- Go back to the Settings and select Button Settings. Make sure to have a button combination linked to the Switch Display.
- Now you are set!
- Start recording, and press the button combination of your choice. The screen will 'switch' from Height to Speed. Press again, and it will switch to Onboard coaching.
- Go out Riding!

FREE version?
Yes! The Surfr. App for Apple Watch now has a FREE version. When using your Apple Watch for the first time, you can test ALL features for your first 5 sessions. After that some features will be locked and you will continue on the new FREE version of the Surfr. App for Apple Watch. The FREE version has some limitations, but will offer you full GPS tracking, on-board coaching and more. A PRO subscription is still required to see all details related to your jumps after the initial 5 sessions.
What else is new?
Did you know we have launched many cool features for the Apple Watch that will make kiting and progression more fun, exciting and safer?
- Downwinder support! You can now see your progress during your downwinder as well as information about the next nearby spot.
- Button support. No more clumsiness with water and touch problems. Just use the buttons of your watch.
- Chat! Is your watch connected via eSim? You can now chat with your friends. Share the stoke and stay safe, together on the water.
One thing though! Ensure you have a proper wristband before hitting the water, so you don't lose your watch. Have a look at what we sell in the Surfr. webshop.
